I was going to write about Jonathan Freedland's absurd column in today's Guardian, but thankfully Norm has said pretty much all that needs to be said. Do these people really want to increase one's sympathy for McCain? Because all this stuff about how the US owes it to the rest of the world to elect Obama is one good way of achieving just that.
Arrrrrrrrrgh!!!! I did warn the Obama campaign to deploy volunteers to the Grauniad offices with stun guns and aerosol cans of industrial-grade Mace, but they didn't listen! Now look.
Seriously, what sort of bubble do these people live in?
Actually, don't answer that.

American politicians, of course, do have to take into account the wishes of one country in the World. A few days after her selection and long before she had time for unscripted interviews with anyone representing the American people Sarah Palin found time to have private conversations with Judas Joe and his friends. I doubt, however, that Norman Geras is overly concerned about that.
There are some who will always believe the Guardian to be a far bigger cancer on American politics than Judas Joe and his friends. History proves them wrong.
