In the spirit of Not Reading Books, it's time to move on to Not Watching Movies. Megan kicks matters off by confessing that, despite loving Marlon Brando, she's never actually seen On the Waterfront. Not a bad contender. For my part, I've never actually seen Gone With the Wind. Or, even more oddly, Taxi Driver. What about you? What are the biggest gaps in your movie watching lives?
Worse is pretending to have seen the film in question: an early boyfriend railed against GWTW until the 50th anniversary when it emerged he hadn't seen it anyway. I haven't seen Taxi Driver either but it feels like I have because it's been so comprehensively culturally crossreferenced. And for some reason all I've seen of The Searchers is the final "Let's Go Home".
Less importantly, I haven't seen Dances with Wolves, which occupies the niche labelled Films You Don't Need To See since it's legacy, despite the raft of Oscars, is nil. Even Kramer vs Kramer caused more ripples than DWW, launching as it did a vogue for irritating introspective domestic features

The mid-century period epics. Lawrence of Arabia. Ben Hur. The Ten Commandments. Not one damn frame of 'em.

I've never watched Wizard of Oz all the way through. I got about half an hour in on a Bank Holiday weekend earlier in the year and just gave up.

I haven't seen Rush Hour 3...
or Rush Hour 2, or Rush Hour.
But then again, I have no intention of seeing them either.

Nevertheless you should be obnoxious about acceptance the helps of a pro modeling cloth. Take more to follow more about pursuing a powwow in routine in that squeak word.
