Twice? It was an error to tell them that he was in ??Vosen's office but when he tells them that he can see Landy he's drawing them away from the deep cover building.

I am still stuggling with the Vosen error though, I'm enough of a fan of the series to still be looking for a plausible answer

Bourne telling Vosen that he's in his office is a tradecraft mistake, but its a big payoff in a dramatic/plot sense. Ah-Ha! you've been outsmarted again! People cheered that moment in the theater when I saw it. Yes it would have been smarter for Bourne to slip in and out undetected, but not as good from a having-fun-at-the movies perspective.

meddlin' kid

i have a theory on bourne telling vosen he's in vosen's office.

since he called vosen from vosen's phone, vosen's caller-id was going to turn up with that number in about 10 seconds anyway, triggering vosen to put everyone on high alert. bourne figured it'd be better off to keep vosen flustered by taunting him with the information than have the extra 10 seconds of escape time.

and why did he use vosen's phone? glad you asked. he needed a phone with a high quality speakerphone capability to pop open the safe, not something that a cell phone is capable of.

...just my thoughts. what an awesome movie.
